Social Programme at Chichester Language College
At our College, we believe that successful language learning is helped by regular socialising with your fellow students. In partnership with Portsmouth and Southampton Language Colleges, we run a consistently enjoyable and varied social programme throughout the year. We have an average of one event per week with more in the Summer.

Chichester and the local region is a great place to spend your free time and the College social programme includes the following events:
- Social evenings in local pubs, bars and nightclubs. A chance for you to relax with your fellow students and talk to local people.
- Day trips to the wonderful English towns and cities of Winchester, Bournemouth, Salisbury, Bath, Oxford, Brighton and London.
- International food evenings every few months & Barbecues in the Summer
- Walking in the South Downs, New Forest and trips to the Isle of Wight.
- Special events at Christmas and Halloween
- Museum trips
- Cinema and Bowling nights
- Football matches in the summer.

Town day trips by train from Chichester
Portsnmouth (20 mins) – Excellent port city with the famous Spinnaker Tower, long beach and Naval heritage
Winchester (60 mins) – Ancient capital of England, cathedral, King Arthur’s Round Table and historic market place.
Bournemouth (90 mins) –Great seaside resort with excellent beaches.
Brighton (60 mins) - Lively seafront, fantastic restaurants and shops, The Royal Pavilion, historic pier.
Salisbury (1 hour 15 mins) – Famous cathedral, historic market town, close to Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain.
Bath (2 hours 30 mins) – World heritage sight, Roman Baths, Georgian housing, cathedral, superb shops.
Cardiff (4 hours) – Capital of Wales, castle, lively & fun city.
Oxford (2 hours) – One of the world’s best universities. See the famous colleges and historic buildings
